DocMJ staff can explain what the state requires next and how to prepare for the application. The Office of Medical Marijuana Use, not DocMJ, reviews and approves the identification card application.

Not too time consuming. They had a little trouble scanning my records but I brought what I needed with me and my card was approved within a very short period of time. Same day approval basically. I was a little confused online it said that the doctor's office would complete the payment to the state but I had to go ahead and process that part through. No big deal. I just hope I don't get double charged

“Does my first Florida medical marijuana appointment have to be in person?”

Yes. Florida requires a qualified physician to complete an in-person physical examination before issuing an initial medical marijuana certification. The physician also reviews the patient’s medical history and determines whether medical marijuana is appropriate.

“Can I complete a renewal appointment through telemedicine?”
