The Texas annual option costs $149 for 12 months, plus a one-time processing fee of 2.9%.
It includes:
Paying in full gives you 12 months of included prescription support without a monthly payment commitment.
The Texas monthly option requires six payments of $30, plus a one-time $20 handling fee.
It includes:
The plan cannot be canceled during the initial six-month payment commitment. Although payments are completed over six months, the listed prescription coverage lasts 12 months.
The Texas introductory option costs $79 for three months.
It includes:
The initial three-month commitment cannot be canceled. This option may suit people who want a shorter initial service period before choosing longer-term care.
The Texas transfer option costs $49 as a one-time payment for the first appointment.
It includes prescription refills and adjustments for six months. You must already be active in CURT and be transferring your care from another physician.
This option is not a new-patient evaluation plan. Eligibility depends on your existing CURT status.
These fees cover DocMJ’s physician services. Low-THC cannabis products are purchased separately from a licensed dispensing organization.
DocMJ does not currently advertise a separate follow-up fee during the coverage period of a selected plan. Prescription refills and adjustments are included for three, six, or 12 months, depending on the option you choose.
The annual and monthly plans include 12 months of prescription support. The introductory trial includes three months, while the transfer option includes six months.
A Texas follow-up consultation may involve reviewing changes in your health, discussing your response to treatment, or adjusting the prescription. The physician remains responsible for deciding whether continued treatment is medically appropriate for your conditions.
Texas does not use the annual physical card-renewal process found in many other states. Any future DocMJ payment relates to continued physician services after your included plan period ends, not a separate state certification or card fee.
Confirm the current continuation price before your coverage expires. DocMJ’s public Texas page does not list the fee that will apply after each plan’s included service period.
DocMJ’s Texas service covers the physician portion of the medical cannabis process. The appointment takes place through telemedicine, allowing eligible people to meet with a qualified physician from home rather than travel to a clinic.
During the consultation, the physician reviews your conditions, symptoms, medications, medical history, and treatment goals. If the doctor determines that low-THC cannabis is appropriate under TCUP, the prescription is entered into CURT.
Depending on the plan selected, DocMJ’s service includes:
The fee does not include low-THC cannabis products, dispensary delivery charges, unrelated medical treatment, or emergency care. It also does not purchase guaranteed certification or a guaranteed prescription.
DocMJ provides physician evaluations and prescription support. It does not grow, sell, or dispense low-THC cannabis.
1. Choose your plan.
Compare the price, coverage period, additional fees, payment commitment, and included prescription support.
2. Prepare for your appointment.
Have your identification and relevant medical information available. Records showing your diagnosis, conditions, medications, previous treatment, or changes in your conditions may help the physician understand your health history.
3. Meet with a qualified physician.
During the telemedicine consultation, the doctor reviews your circumstances and decides whether the potential benefit of low-THC cannabis is reasonable in relation to the risk. Texas requires a prescription from an approved qualified physician before a patient can obtain low-THC cannabis through TCUP.
4. Receive the physician’s decision.
If approved, the physician enters the prescription into the registry. DocMJ states that approved prescriptions are entered on the day of the appointment and that you receive a copy by email within 24 hours.
5. Contact a licensed dispensing organization.
The organization searches CURT, verifies the prescription and required identification, and fills the order according to its product availability and procedures.
DocMJ controls the evaluation and prescription-entry process. It does not control dispensary inventory, pricing, pickup availability, or delivery timing in Texas.
