Our Story
DocMJ opened its first medical marijuana clinic in Clearwater, Florida, in December 2016. Our founding physicians recognized the devastating impact of the opioid crisis and believed patients deserved access to alternative treatment options for chronic pain and other qualifying medical conditions.
As more patients discovered the potential benefits of medical cannabis, DocMJ grew through patient referrals and our commitment to compassionate, personalized care. Every patient has a unique story, whether it’s someone living with chronic pain, a veteran managing PTSD, or a person seeking a better quality of life. Those stories continue to inspire our mission.
Ten years later, DocMJ had grown from one Florida clinic to 30 locations, offering medical marijuana evaluations across multiple states. Today, our licensed physicians provide convenient in-person appointments and telehealth evaluations. And our commitment remains unchanged: if our physicians determine you don’t qualify for medical marijuana certification, we refund 100% of your evaluation fee.
By 2025, we had grown from one Florida clinic to 27 locations and a national telehealth platform serving patients across Florida, Georgia, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
