What do you buy as a gift for the person who has everything? It is a head-scratcher this time of year when we try to choose gifts that will make our friends and family really happy. Or give up trying and send them a gift card instead.
Every year since states began legalizing cannabis use, there have been more products created to enhance the experience of consuming cannabis or make it easier and healthier to use. People who use smokable cannabis have a variety of new devices, like dry herb vapes, for example, that can reduce waste and maximize intake.
We asked some of our team what the most popular cannabis gifts were this year and came up with this trendy list of cannabis gift ideas you can consider if you still have some holiday shopping to do.
Our Picks
We based our criteria on a few factors when choosing some of the best cannabis gifts for 2023. First, cost is definitely a factor. We aimed to choose products that were not only useful and fun-looking but also practical.
From great storage solutions to keep your bud sticky to tools and devices that can help patients make the most of the medical cannabis they consume, here are some gift ideas your family and friends may appreciate. If you are done buying presents, you may find a few things you can add to your own last-minute wish list.
1. Lady Holders
This product is a throwback to the 1930s when cigarette smoking became popular. Women had long cigarette holders to minimize transferring of the tobacco scent to their hair, clothes, or hands. The concept of Lady Holders definitely solves the problem of smoking cannabis flower in a very elegant way.
The device (made by Elevate Jane) allows you to place a pre-roll in the holder. Can we talk about the contemporary design of Lady Holders? The plain blown glass designs average at $29, but some of the more intricate limited edition designs start at $299.
Lady Holders certainly makes smoking a pre-roll more creative and elegant. In case you are wondering, they do make the long stiletto “Great Gatzby” style holder, too. Just in case you are a cannabis connoisseur and you feel like getting fancy. The Stiletto J models will definitely help you reach the ashtray, but using a lighter may be a challenge.

2. Tectonic Auto Dispensing Grinder
Some people prefer to trim cannabis flowers with small scissors. Others may break it up and place it in a traditional hand grinder. The hand grinders are nice because they are usually designed with a fine screen filter that allows Kief to collect in the bottom and be used for some higher purpose.
But what if you have arthritis or another condition that makes using a manual grinder difficult? The Tectonic Auto Dispensing Grinder isn’t the first electric flower mulcher that we’ve seen. But what is different is that, much like a lawn mower, it ejects the ground cannabis. It also has an LED light inside the grind chamber.
Cloudious 9 couldn’t have made it easier. All you do is push one small button and sit back while the grinder does the work. You can set the device to grind and then store it in the built-in dry herb reservoir. Or you can make the grinder dispense the fresh ground flower onto your rolling tray.
As far as cannabis-related gifts, this one may be the perfect choice for the cannabis enthusiast in your life. If you know someone who finds using a traditional hand grinder challenging, this could help make medical cannabis consumption easier every day. Talk about a game-changer for under $50.

3. Pax Plus Vapes
In this history of cannabis culture, the glass pipe or bong has always been central to smokable use. If people didn’t appreciate the ritual of packing a bowl, incinerating, and then inhaling smoke over water, there wouldn’t be so many pipes sold every year.
If you use smokable cannabis, having a water bong at home may make sense. But using a bong can also present health risks, particularly if you do not clean it after every use. Bacterial, mold, and fungi deposits and spores can cause respiratory diseases.
But if you have ever cleaned a large bong, you may already know why people don’t clean them that often, even though it is a health risk. A great gift to give someone who enjoys smoke may be a Pax Plus vape. It is a dry herb vape that can also be used for cannabis concentrates.
The quality of the Pax Plus Dry Vaporizer must be excellent because it comes with a ten-year warranty. On the affordability side, one of these dry herb vapes will run about $200. But for an extra $20, you can get your Pax Plus Dry Vaporizer engraved with some custom words. It could be a thoughtful holiday season gift that you can personalize with a name or message for someone special.
4. Magical Butter Machine
If you or someone you know likes to cook with cannabis, one of the easiest ways to add cannabis to recipes or meals is by making your own cannabutter. Getting the consistent mix of the butter, THC, natural terpenes, and flavonoids is a little tricky, though, if you have ever tried it at home.
A machine that makes magical butter? That sounds like a great idea, and while the description of the Magical Butter Machine on Amazon mentions nothing about cannabutter, we all know what makes the magic. They do refer to “botanical infusions,” though.
On the downside, it’s not dishwasher safe, but the upside parts of this machine make it worthwhile. It is an emersion blender with a built-in thermostat and a guide to ensure that you are infusing your butter at the right temperature to preserve the “herbal benefits.”
It literally grinds, stirs, and steeps your herbal mixture. You choose the temperature settings and time, and you can walk away while your cannabutter is made to perfection. What is really neat is that you can also make tinctures with it, and it comes with some great accessories.
We saw this gift on Amazon for $140, but MSRP is closer to $200 for the startup kit. When you see all the things this small appliance can do, it may make the perfect cannabis gift … for yourself.

5. Houseplant (Seth Rogen) Premium Leather Block Table Lighter
Does anyone remember during the COVID-19 pandemic, when everyone was staying home, that Seth Rogen took up pottery? He had a kiln installed in his house so he could explore a new art form, making cool vases, ashtrays, and cannabis accessories.
The company that Rogen started is Houseplant. The Premium Leather Block Table Lighter is definitely a piece of art, and it is a bit of an homage to the giant glass table lighters that were popular in the 1970s. Except that the Houseplant lighter isn’t made of bright orange glass. When we checked the website, there was a $78 discount on the lighter. When the lighter is assembled, it looks like a metal block. When the lid is removed and turned upside down, it becomes the perfect place to prop your pre-roll with a small ashtray in good taste.
6. Yew Yew Ladies Stash Bag
It is nice to see cannabis accessories that are both stylish and practical. That is the case with the Yew Yew Ladies Stash Bag, with its sleek design, ample pockets for organizing, and eco-conscious soft vegan leather.
The Yew Yew Stash Bag has garnered a lot of positive reviews. For something that looks like a high-end clutch purse, it does a remarkable job of sealing in the cannabis scent. Very helpful for female cannabis enthusiasts who want to travel safely. This Christmas or holiday season gift idea is under $50.

7. Helix by Vessel
This is one of those products that can make the perfect cannabis gift. But there is a high probability that you may want to buy one for yourself when you see what it can do. Vessel has redefined the 1-2 hitter travel pipe with the Helix design.
It looks like an oversized decorative bullet, and the product was designed in California. The double helix design is patent-pending for its ability to filter and cool cannabis smoke within a short structural channel.
The Helix is made from pure, non-toxic brass and designed to be used with dry cannabis flower. The product claims that the more you use it and develop residue on the inside of the copper pipe, the better it will filter impurities from the cannabis smoke to provide a “debris-free experience.”
The built-in grinder on the Helix is easy to use and stylish, and the pipe has a bowl capacity of up to 0.30 grams of flower. As far as pocket pipes go, this one may be the lightest, with a net weight of 1.9 oz. The Helix retails for around $70 and has a limited lifetime product warranty.
8. Sib-lings Mint Cannabis Sage Melts
For people who are a little crafty and enjoy the scent of cannabis, some wax melts are one of many holiday party gift ideas, maybe not for the office Secret Santa gift exchange, but among family and friends who are cannabis fans.
The eco-friendly coconut blend wax is infused with non-toxic essential oils and fragrances, including Sichuan Pepper, Pine, Sage, Cedarwood, Mint, Basil, and cannabis. Your space may be filled with the delicious scent of most major terpenes and your favorite cannabinoid.
The No. 12 is $29, and the 10 oz candle has an average burn time of 60 hours. It also comes in a biodegradable bag for guilt-free gift-giving.
9. Sant’Ana Chili Oil (CBD Olive Oil)
We all have at least one foodie in our lives who loves to experiment with cannabinoids in the kitchen. This product is legal to purchase and ship, as it includes hemp whole flower extract and high-quality olive oil.
Who said eating healthy cannabidiol had to be boring? The Santa Ana Chili Oil is made with Chilé guajillo, Chilé de arbol, and Chilé morita, giving it a spicy, smoky, and savory flavor profile. Think of using it on roasted vegetables, soups, or for some great huevos rancheros!
Don’t forget that CBD doesn’t give you the munchies, so cooking with this condiment presents no risk of impairment but a very high probability of a pleasant flavor explosion.
This product also provides a certificate of analysis (COA) to show batch testing and tracking for safety and quality assurance. Hemp-derived products with less than 0.30% THC are legal to purchase and send in the mail, according to federal law. Make sure to check with state laws, as they may vary, before shipping any CBD-infused product.
10. Higher Etiquette Book by Lizzie Post
The great-great-granddaughter of Emily Post wrote a different kind of book about culture and social manners. In “Higher Etiquette,” Lizzie Post tackles a guide to manners for the cannabis enthusiast, answering important questions about the myriad of faux pas you can commit in cannabis culture.
The “Higher Etiquette: A Guide to the World of Cannabis, from Dispensaries to Dinner Parties” actually reads more like a “how-to guide,” which is perfect for patients who are new to using medical cannabis. If read cover to cover, the book answers questions about different intake methods, common cannabis words and terms, and more. It’s lighter reading than it sounds, with creative illustrations that give new cannabis users the right context to understand cannabis culture.
